Art Collections & Exhibitions Department Student Assistant
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, temporary, part-time
Supervisor: Collections Manager/Registrar

Position Purpose: Assist with cataloging and new acquisitions and creating records in collections management database system
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Cataloguing New Acquisitions: Learns new acquisitions cataloguing processes, including photographing art, condition reporting, and art handling. Learns how to input data and images for artworks using the collection management system Collector Systems. Works independently with other students to wrap artworks in archival materials for storage and transport
- Permanent Collection: Performs location inventories and condition reports for artworks installed on campus. Installs/deinstalls UCPC artworks on campus. Artwork wrapping, labeling, and transporting around campus. Inputs artwork locations into a spreadsheet or the collections management system. Carefully handles artworks during wrapping, moving, and storing processes.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately label artwork with inventory numbers, artist, and title information, as well as input in spreadsheets and database formats.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Exercise great care in handling fragile art objects.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to stand or sit for 3 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.

Compensation
The rate for this position is $15.00 per hour. Assistant Men’s Ice Hockey Coach
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time
Supervisor: Head Men’s Ice Hockey Coach
Position Purpose: Works closely with the head coach to develop and execute training programs, provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, and contribute to the overall success of the men’s ice hockey program.

Union College is an NCAA multi-classified institution that sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports. Ice Hockey competes in Division I ECAC Hockey, and 24 sports compete in the Division III Liberty League.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Recruitment: Assists in recruiting and retaining top prospective student athletes who are fully engaged in the mission of Union College. Collaborates with the head coach and admissions department to arrange on-campus visits for all prospective student-athletes and their families. Ensures compliance with all recruitment policies and procedures.
- Coaching: Demonstrates effective teaching methods and exceptional leadership skills. Collaborates with the athletics trainer to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of all participants. Conducts thorough analysis of practice and game film to inform strategic practice and game planning.
- Student-Athlete Development: Works proactively with campus stakeholders to ensure the academic success and development of student-athletes. Mentors student-athletes.
- Administration: Supports aspects designated by the head coach of the hockey program adhering to NCAA, league, and department compliance. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of proven success in coaching ice hockey, with a demonstrated ability to recruit high-caliber student-athletes who contribute to the overall success of the program.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with experience using XOS software, is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as necessary for recruiting.
- Able to proactively identify and pursue relevant learning and professional development opportunities and apply new knowledge, insights, and skills to enhance results.
- The ability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$95,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Job Summary | The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track (or tenured) faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Business Analytics/Supply Chain Management starting Fall 2024. Candidates must have a PhD degree from an accredited university in Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated evidence to produce original and innovative scholarly work with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join the School either as a tenure-track assistant professor, or as an associate professor, based on teaching and research experience and success. Job Summary | The Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, and Quantum Technology, with focus on the fundamental aspects or applications of quantum computation, scalability, and error correction on current and future quantum computing devices. Research areas can include but not limited to quantum entanglement, decoherence, and noise in quantum networks, with applications to quantum cryptography, quantum encryption, and secure quantum communications in noisy environments. Possible related areas would also include studying and exploiting the fundamental connections between Quantum Monte Carlo and Quantum Computing, simulating quantum field theory and many-body theory with a quantum computer (in particular, simulating systems with a “sign” problem), quantum communication networks, exotic quantum dynamics, quantum sensing protocols, exotic quantum phases of matter, and theory on the nature of information at the quantum level. With the anticipated of arrival of the IBM Quantum System One on our campus, this hire will have access to explore and implement some of these challenging problems. This hire would be part of a bold effort at RPI to strengthen and extend our current faculty cluster in Quantum Information, and would interact with our current faculty on quantum optics and photon entanglement, quantum field-theory, quantum fluctuations in networks, as well as with researchers from Computer Science, ECSE, Future of Computing Institute, and with the future hires of the recently announced Quantum Constellation. The position also represents a response to federal priorities expressed in the National Quantum Initiative Act. The successful candidate will establish/maintain and externally funded research program, participate in collaborative, multi-investigator research and research training initiatives, and contribute to the high impact teaching program in the Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy. Postdoctoral research experience and a strong early record of publication in leading journals is preferred. Associate Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full time
Supervisor: Director of Residential Education
Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Shares responsibility with other Associate Directors for residential student staff processes (such as room selection, recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and ongoing development). Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.
This position primarily operates on site and requires in-person presence. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity for optional on-campus housing.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.
- Knowledge of National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations. Membership in an international/national fraternity or sorority is preferred.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a related field, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, or work experience. Associate’s degree in a related field of study may be substituted for work experience.

- Current New York State Security Guard registration certification required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk and stand for extended periods, and climbing of stairs.

- Process all designated cataloged material that is received, in a variety of formats and languages, according to departmental instructions.
- Review records and spreadsheets for quality assurance benchmarks.
- Comply with CDLS policies and procedures, including a commitment to a set work schedule for the term and notify supervisors in advance of any scheduling changes.

- Cleaning and Maintenance: Removes office and building trash. Washes windows, cleans showers, bathrooms, and public areas using wet/dry mop, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths and cleaning solutions. Follows safety instructions/procedures related to clothing, gloves, goggles, masks and use of cleaning chemicals. Cleans, strips and waxes tile and floors. Shampoos and extracts carpeting. Maintains vacuums and other equipment by making simple adjustments such as installing new vacuum bags and mop heads, moving equipment from location to location as necessary. Removes snow from entryways and walkways.
- Event Preparation Assistance: Assists with special events including but not limited to table and chair setup.
- Additional Tasks: Pitches in to assist colleagues when needed.
Qualifications:
